The projects which MGA consultants have undertaken in the past range from simple safety audits, equipment and systems analyses, to major technical reviews, design work and system commissioning. A number of our consultants have worked in senior positions for Mud Companies, Equipment Manufacturers, and for Operators. We are able to draw on their pool of experience as necessary to meet varying project demands.
Projects are co-ordinated through our Aberdeen office. Project teams are normally headed by Chris Meyjes. Consultants are co-opted as and when their particular expertise is required. MGA's first hand field experiences include :-
Mud Systems
- Lime Morrex
- Calcium Chloride systems
- Combined Potassium/Calcium systems
- Zechstein Mixed Salt systems
- Cationic, Glycol and PHPA systems
- High Temperature Water Based systems
- Oil in Water Emulsions
- High and Low Oil Content Inverts
- Synthetic Fluids systems
- Silicate systems
Equipment Operation
- IR Spectrometry for Oil in Water Determination

- Cuttings Wash and Cuttings Slurrification Systems
Design & Commissioning
- Rig Mud and Mud Processing Systems
- Automated Mud Additive Systems
- Cuttings Collection, Cuttings Wash, and Cuttings Slurrification Systems
- Mud Cuttings Separators
It should be emphasised that the above list does not relate to theoretical projects, but to experience gained in the field, putting theory into practice.
