NO MORE SUICIDES

IF YOU ARE CONTEMPLATING SUICIDE, READ THIS:

1)   Think of the effect it will have on your family and friends: the world will be a sadder place without you.

2)   Depression does not always last forever: there's a good chance that, at some point, you will come out of it.

3)   Think of all your positive achievements, no matter how small they might seem: tomorrow may bring new opportunities.

4)   You may survive the attempt, but have to live with the physical or mental consequences, such as liver failure or brain damage.

5)   Everybody has something positive to give to society, including you.

6)   Try to get into a daily routine regarding washing, eating, social activities, etc: this will help you to maintain your dignity and exercise control over your life.

7)   If you are on the verge of attempting suicide, call your GP, care worker, or psychiatrist, as soon as possible, or check into Accident and Emergency and explain the situation to the attending doctor.

8)   If and when your depression lifts, you’ll come out of it a stronger, wiser person.
