Leak Detection Repair

The effects of water ingress into a roof's construction and subsequently the building below can have long lasting effects not only on wetting and damaging the building fabric and causing leaks into the building but also reducing the thermal performance of the roof and significantly increasing air conditioning and heating costs.

In some cases the ‘wet' roof is unnecessarily stripped and replaced. Stripping and replacing the roof can be very expensive, disruptive and time consuming. Due to the cost implications and potential disruption sometimes only adhoc repairs are undertaken and the water is left trapped within the roof. This entrapped water can still ‘leak' into the building causing further damage, nuisance and disruption. It is far more cost effective to carry out leak detection and repair where the water enters the building and remove the build up of water using Vacuum DeWatering.

Using Vacuum DeWatering the entrapped water can be removed from within the roof construction negating the need to strip and replace the roof restoring the thermal performance of the roof and offering significant cost savings to the alternative roof replacement. DeWatering systems utilise a graduated vacuum, evenly created to draw-out the entrapped moisture from predetermined pump locations. When all the water has been drawn out the pumps are removed and the waterproofing made good. Vacuum DeWatering can be used on most flat roof constructions allowing overlay/repair of the existing membrane.
