Mowgan Audio is a company dedicated to the producing some of the finest loudspeakers available at their respective price points. By keeping our operational overheads down as low as possible we endeavour to supply the loudspeakers at prices which the larger companies struggle to do. This means that you won't find fancy web sites, you won't see regular advertising but you will hear a difference when comparing our speakers against any of the available competition at or even above the prices charged.

Mowgan uses state of the art measuring systems to help with the design of the speakers, while specialised CAD programs help analyse literally thousands of crossover configurations for each model in the range. By using the latest CAD programs we can build and analyse different loudspeaker enclosures on the computer before gong into production. Even then each cabinet was tested using accelerometers to check for areas of cabinet vibration and examining possible measures to reduce these to a minimum. However we also understand that there is no substitute for quality. That is why we source all of our drive units from major european driver manufacturers, we work with a choice few manufacturers to build or adapt the drivers used in our speakers to our own specifications. Crossover components use only the finest materials OFC copper in our individually wound inductors, capacitors made to our specifications by ClarityCap a company whose products are found in the best loudspeakers the world over and they are all held together with high content silver solder.
Each loudspeakers cabinet is first machined using high precision CNC routers before being hand built and veneered in high quality real wood veneers, The cabinet interior is then installed by hand using different materials with different thicknesses spread across the range. Finally the drive units and crossovers are fitted to the cabinets. Each and every pair of loudspeakers which leaves us for a customer are individually tested for frequency response and impedance, and subjected to a short manual listening evaluation. These records are held against the product serial number, this ensures that the products leave us as they were designed to sound and should provide their users with years of pleasure.
During the design and evaluation our speakers are subjected to a range of listeners with various levels and types of sources and amplification, this helps ensure that when we design something they will work in the real world and in real systems not just the "company CD and amp" . All too often speakers are designed around what sounds best with the test electronics not necessarily with what the end customer is likely to use. True we can't legislate for all systems but we rest easy at night knowing that that they work well in most set ups.
