Aesus:- From the ancient Celts/Gauls - The Respected One

Taranis:- The Celtic God of Thunder

"Impact and dynamics beyond expectations "

The Aesus-C is our centre channel loudspeaker and represents over 2 years of research and development. Designed with the idea of supporting the growing number of Home Theatre (HT) installations out there, by using similar crossover configuration and from the same family of drive units as the Aesus, Artio, Mellt and Mabon it offers a fully complimentary centre channel Loudspeaker.
The aesus is all about speech clarity which should be the bread and butter of all centre channel speakers. Unlike its siblings the Aesus-C utilises a sealed enclosure we found this to be the best design criteria for this particular application

Taranis The subwoofer to match the family of Mowgan Audio loudspeakers. This is close to completion come back soon for further details.

Some history

The Aesus-C was originally conceived as a dedicated HT only speaker it utilises 2 bass units similar to those used in the Aesus model. The use of the same family of drive units as found in the Artio, Mellt and Mabon means that tonality is retained even in this small centre channel speaker. This means that there is a natural progression available for HT user. They can safely add a pair or Artio or Mellts as their front channel replacements and retain the Aesus-C. Then as funds allow move the Artios to the rear and add Mabons or Mellts as their front channels. THis means that you can grow your system as and when you want without compromising the integrity of the entire system.

To match the Aesus we have developed the Aesus L&R channel pair which is are enough on its own to support a full music system as well as HT.

Technical Specification Aesus: A two way infinite baffle design featuring two 5" mid/bass unit designed using a laminate of different polypropylene films and adhesives to provide a five-layer sandwich cone which improves accuracy and consistency of sound reproduction over the entire frequency range. The tweeter utilises an optimally shaped diaphragm that gives well-controlled behaviour through the entire high frequency band. This diaphragm is produced a proprietary material. The process pre-coats the fabric 4 times with a damping/sealing material, resulting in excellent acoustic performance. Designed as left and right pairs for improved imaging. Maple, Cherry, Oak, Walnut Others available on request .

Technical Specification Taranis uses a 12" subwoofer with a massive power handling capability combined with high excursion levels for the diaphragm . While we understand that power handling and the ability to "move air" is particularly beneficial we also understand that it takes more than this in the reproduction of music. The bass driver used is made of coated paper which we found to be the best material for high level subwoofer applications. The amplifier is a conservative 200W with both levels and full phase control
