Michelle's history in computers started in the 1980's when her natural aptitude for logic singled her out for a career in I.T. even during her time in Comprehensive school where her skills were spotted and nurtured. Since then she has become experienced in programming languages, systems analysis, hardware specification and break fix, customer support, web design ... the whole shooting match that has become, "Information Technology." She has even managed small teams of people and operated successfully in The Netherlands and in Germany, where although she doesn't speak the language, she nevertheless won the customers support during the two years she lived there. Her main asset is a solid grounding in I.T. principles. She can learn new language syntax quickly and meld herself seamlessly in to a team, but posesses the drive and organisational skills to work without supervision. After working in other countries, Michelle realises that she wants to end her contracting career, and dedicate herself to a permanent position. She wants to settle down and make her home in the U.K. There is no doubt that you are looking for a talented individual who can offer more than just one specific skill. Michelle has proven herself able to be a valuable asset to her customers, time and time again, and has worked with high profile clients such as Sony, Telewest, Kimberley Clark, Pfizer, Lloyds Bank, Hewlett Packard and even 20th Century mainframe giant, Amdahl. There are also other high-profile groups that she can't name here.
She listens to music across the range from classics to rock and pop. As you can guess from the titles, she also likes Star Trek and, yes, she drinks tea, Earl Grey, hot (but also white with one sugar.) As you have probably guessed, she has a good sense of humour, which has proven invaluable to her progress in I.T. Her remaining ambitions include a walk on part in Star Trek, piloting an attack helicopter, driving in a Grand Prix, a walk on part in Red Dwarf and learning a foreign language. |
