The Page Counter

A Page Counter example, by necessity a cgi service, thru an ISP Server

The number of slightly sentient life-forms that have popped into this page for a cuppa are :

So now you know !!

er ... however, page counters induce paranoia, since a low number looks naff, and it will pick up on your visits as well !!

However, this counter is linked to the main page of my web site, and shows a more accurate representation of visits.

... And the code to hide the counter was ...

<img src=http://home2.btconnect.com/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?sh=0|df=0185452(<-the counter number)>

Page Counter commands :

The basic end-part of the command :

>.../Count.cgi?df=countername>

also, for effect :

&ft=X ~ frame thickness = defaults to 6

&frgb=RGB ~ frame colour in R-G-B hexadecimal values

&tr=Y ~ image transparency, Yes or No

&md=X ~ number of digits to display, 5 - 10, defaults to 6

&pad=Y ~ padding between numbers, Yes or No

&dd=A ~ digit / font style, A - G, A is default

&sh=Y ~ show digits, Yes or No

&incr=Y ~ counter increment, Yes or No

&lit=X ~ displays only 'X'

&negate=Y ~ shows digit colour, Yes or No

&rotate=Y ~ rotate image, Yes or No

&DEGREES=X ~ 90, 180, 270

<...?sh=0|df=countername> ~ to hide the counter

A rotate example, using <img src="http://home2.btconnect.com/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?df=0185452&ft=5&frgb=ff0000&dd=C&rotate=y&DEGREES=90">
