Reloading The Psion Timer

TSC Timer Programme Lost?

Probably because both batteries are flat: If so replace CR1620 3v lithium button cell. For instructions see here.

To Reload PSION from TSC TIMER back up flash card.

Switch off by “U +1” (i.e. hold down the lower left “Psion key” (labelled “U”) and press “1”).

Replace any weak batteries with fresh ones. For instructions see here.

With the Psion off, swing open port A arm on underside, insert TSC Timer flash card oriented so pins within socket will engage with holes in card, and close arm. If available use external power supply to Psion to save its battery.

1. Press “ON”,
2. Press “System” (at left on hinge bar)

Proceed, choosing options a. below

3. “Tab”
4. Use the arrow keys to select “Disk [A], Flash…”
5. Use the arrow keysto select “\APP\” and then “\OPD\”
6. Press “Enter”
7. a. Use the arrow keys to select “Tsctimer.opa”
b. Use the arrow keys to select “Tsc_icon.pic”
8. Press “Menu”
9. Use the arrow keys to select “File”
10. Use ? and ? to select “Copy file”
11. Press “Enter”
12. Use the arrow keys to select “To file: Name”
13. Type “\APP\” (to type “\”, hold “U” at lower left, and press “3”) and then type “\OPD\”
14. Use the arrow keys to select the to “Disk”, and the arrow keys to change from “A” to “Internal”

The Psion should be ready to copy “Tsctimer.opa” from Disk A to /APP/ on Internal disk and “Tsc_icon.pic” from Disk A to /OPD/ on Internal disk

15. Press “Enter”

Repeat 3. to 15. using options b.

Switch off (“U +1”) and remove Flash Card.

Use 16. and 17 to remove each unwanted application from System screen, to leave only TscTimer, Time and Calc.

16. Use the arrow keys to select application to remove, then
17. Press “Menu”and select “Apps”, “Remove application”, and press “Enter”

From System screen

18. Press “Menu”, “Apps”, “Install application”, and press “Enter”
19. Select “Tsctimer.opa” and “first” for position, then press “Enter”
