Using The Psion Timer

“Esc” to turn on Psion, and TSC timer should run.
(If not, press “System” (on hinge strip); press the back arrow key twice to highlight "TscTimer"; “Enter”)

When Start Timer is offered, press “Enter”, then “Enter” again to start timer. Timer starts with a warning bleep at time 5 mins 10 secs from the race start, and counts down.

Timer bleeps distinctively at race Sound and Flag times of 5, 4, 1 and 0 minutes, with a minor warning bleep 10 seconds before each time.

After 0 it counts up in seconds. Time each lap of each boat each time it crosses (ie first touches) the line, by pressing the space bar. This displays the Lap time in large print, and it must then be written down. The lap time, and up to four previous ones, also appear on screen in smaller print to assist with a rush of boats. Older times disappear for good!

When all have finished, press “Esc, Esc” and use "?" and "?" to select calculator and “Enter”.

Fill in values and “Enter” to calculate each time for the race sheet.

“Esc” when finished, and select "Close Down", and “Enter”.
