Toddbrook Sailing Club
Whaley Bridge

Welcome to Toddbrook Sailing Club

Toddbrook Sailing Club is a small, non-profit making sailing club run by its members.

We sail on Toddbrook Reservoir in the small town of Whaley Bridge on the edge of the Peak District. Whaley Bridge is 18 miles south of Manchester, 7 miles north of Buxton, 9 miles north east of Macclesfield and 20 miles west of Sheffield.

Toddbrook Reservoir itself lies to the west of the town. It is owned by British Waterways and was built in 1831 as a feeder for the Peak Forest Canal. The reservoir is a Site Of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and is the habitat for herons, ducks and other animals and fish. Also many rare mosses and liverworts grow on the shores. There are fantastic views over the water to the surrounding Peak District.

This web site is intended for the use of members of Toddbrook Sailing Club, their guests, prospective members, and those interested in the sport and pleasure of sailing.

Please follow the links to the left of this text for more information about the club.
