NEAD staff offer INSET on a range of issues which could include: Global Citizenship, Multicultural & Race Awareness, Distant Localities (in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America), Images and Stereotypes of Our World, Fair Trade, International Debt, Multicultural Arts (see World Voices), etc.

Staff have helped local teachers to organise major curriculum development initiatives and they have also provided information, help and advice for teachers preparing topics, modules and courses on Distant Localities/'Third World'/development issues, and for teachers who wish to strengthen the multicultural, anti-racist, 'southern' perspectives of their teaching.

NEAD also works with local teacher training institutions to help deliver and strengthen these elements for students undertaking PGCE/teachersí training courses.

For more information contact: Sandy Betlem.

NEADís Just Business project offers INSET for teachers of Economics and Business Studies, and can organise global perspectives days for teacher training institutions.
