Established in 1962 in Alloa, the heart of Central Scotland, the firm remains a family run business still dedicated to serving you as well as ever. Gordon McFarlane took over the business from Mr. Allan who retired in 1962. Mr Allan had bought the business from Mr D Morgan, who in turn had purchased the business from Mr A Black, this gives over a century and a half of watchmaking tradition within the business. Gordon R McFarlane FBHI qualified as a watchmaker & clockmaker in 1959 and still repairs all the clocks that come in to our workshop. One of the few retail jewellers left who can truly offer repairs to watches, jewellery and clocks on the premises.

His son Neil R McFarlane FGA qualified as a gemmologist in 1992 and carries on the tradition of qualified personnel in the workshop. Our workshop offers a full range of repair services, from the smallest wristwatch to tower clocks. Engraving, jewellery repairs and valuations are only some of the jobs we carry out. Basic repair prices are available, we will always provide estimates if we discover more work is required once we start the job.
