                                               Grass Roots Training
We have been lucky enough to be awarded a grant from the Area Liaison committee to be used for 'grass roots' training. This training is for people who are just starting work with their horses at home or who are thinking of going to their first competition. It is also for people who have lost their confidence and want to go back to basics.

There will be three clinics. The first covers flat work with tips on how to prepare for your first walk and trot test. The next deal with show jumping and this will start with pole work on the ground and build up to a small course of jumps to suit each person's requirements. Finally the third clinic will cover cross country jumping, We will be using our smaller jumps and again the instruction will be tailored to each individual and will be designed to encourage and give confidence to the horse and rider.

The cost of these clinics will depend on how many people apply for the places, but it will cost no more than £10 per session and might even be free if the number of applicants is small.

These clinics will be run by Jackie and Lesley Selway who have trained and competed in all the three disciplines for many years.
