Floor Replacement

First major task was the replacement of the floors. What started out as a few holes on the trailing edge of the both floors ended up with the replacement of the entire floors front to back.
Rust on rear edge. Difficult to see with the under seal is the two previous repairs in the top right of the pictures.

Rear half of floor cut away. Outrigger needed only slight repairs to sill end

Inner sill. Both sides needed extensive repairs. The outer sills were solid having been replaced at some stage by the previous owner

Partly replaced inner sill. I found it easier to fabricate it in 12 inch sections

Old and replacement floor for comparison.  New floors were bought from SOC Spares and were supplied in one piece. I found it easier to cut the floor in half and fit in two sections. When compared with the old floor the match was perfect.

Testing the fit of the rear floor. I cut the rear floors to give a 3 inch overlap on the inside against the transmission tunnel More repairs to inner sill. New metal was cut and shaped along the length of the sill. New floor in place.
