A noisy gearbox indicated the bearing were shot. Also a very strange rattle when braking hard meant it was time to remove the cog box. | |
| Strip down on the bench, All the bearing were replaced, but gears and syncros were reused |

| Complete with overdrive attached. Rubber mounts and all seals were also replaced. | Thrust bearing installed with greased splines The marks on the bell housing are where the clutch locating dowels were being thrown about. |
