FELLOWSHIP
1988-89
I was awarded a fellowship at Goldsmiths College, London. During this year I was the site tutor for the MA Fine Art annexe, I was provided with a studio in which I produced my own work. here I set up the Gymnasium Project Space. This was an informal exhibition space in which artists, whom I selected, showed their work every fortnight. Each exhibition culminated in a seminar centred around the issues raised in the exhibiting artists work. U7
U7 CONTEMPORARY ART PROJECT
1989-90
Following on from my fellowship U7 Contemporary Art was set up on a more formal basis and existed within the context of the established gallery network. I was responsible for selecting the artists and the work exhibited, together with all aspects of running a high profile exhibition space. My involvement with this project was seen as an extension of my studio activity.
