CYCLing

For those wishing to leave the car and explore by bicycle, the following suggestions prove popular with our visitors.

1. Take your bike on the Water Taxi from Mountbatten to the Barbican and explore Plymouth by bike. Downloadable cycle route maps are available from Plymouth City Council.

2. Ride the Plym Valley trail on the traffic free track of the old Great Western Railway line, through tunnels and across viaducts. Starting at Coypool or Saltram House

Alltrax Cycles are based in the Parish at Down Thomas, they have mountain bikes to hire and can deliver.

For those with their own bikes, the nearest other cycle shop for maintenance, sales etc is the Bike Cellar in nearby Plymstock.
