the house-mothers. They all loved it. The food in the restaurant was a revelation for the girls who were thrilled with everything - the rooms, the greenery in Galilee and, of course, the lake. The Israelis were delighted by the children's behaviour and obvious excitement. They had never before encountered Palestinian children.
Of course, after a week they had to return to Bethany and the materially deprived life they live there, but they will never forget the holiday. I have promised that money will be found for another next year. Perhaps I can arrange to share it with them.
