Stir-Fired Broccoli And Beef

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium size Broccoli, cut into small pieces  
  • 150g beef, shredded
  • ½ teaspoon Chinese 5 spices powder
  • 1 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • Pinch of grounded black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger
  • ½ teaspoon corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese cooking wine
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon XO sauce
  • Sugar and salt for seasoning

Method:

  1. Marinate the shredded beef with Chinese 5 spices powder, light soy sauce, grounded black pepper, sugar, Chinese cooking wine, XO sauce, water and corn flour for 10 minutes.
  2. Boil the Broccoli in hot water bring it up to boil then cook for 2 minute then drain the excess water.
  3. Heat the wok with cooking oil and ginger. Stir fry the beef for 2 minutes then add in broccoli to cook for another 2 minutes. Using salt for seasoning before serving.
