Who Are We?
The de Havilland School of Flying Limited was formed
during 2001 by a group of Tiger Moth Pilots wishing to share the fun of
open cockpit flying.
Following the purchase of Tiger Moth G-ACDJ in August 2001, it was decided
to form a company to provide air experience flights and trial lessons
to non-pilots and pilots, past and present.We chose the name of The de
Havilland School of Flying, as 'Delta Juliet' was built to fly for the
original de Havilland School of Flying back in the early 1930s. In addition,
she was returned to her original colours and specification during her
1991 rebuild. This makes our aircraft a truly historic example of the
most famous bi-plane of them all, the de Havilland DH82a Tiger Moth.
Air Experience Flights
We offer a number of packages aimed at those who just want to taste the
excitement of flying in an open cockpit Tiger Moth through to those that
just can't get enough!
We can also cater for Families, Groups, Societies, Companies, etc. wishing
to organise a special day out. You provide the people and we will provide
the Tiger Moth, and of course the Pilot. Call or email

Modular Training
Aimed specifically at the Qualified Pilot, we have a number of modular
training packages to take you from your first Tiger Moth air experience
flight to an accomplished Tiger Moth Pilot. Ideal for Pilots wishing to
gain Tiger experience in order to buy into a Tiger Moth Group, or for
those just wishing to have the famous type in their log books.
