We enjoyed trying to create a fusion of English and Asian domestic architecture: The English Conservatory, and the Indian Veranda. In England conservatories are built to be 'outside' whilst remaining warm. In India verandas are built to be outside, whilst remaining cool. The perforated brick wall patterns the sunlight, whilst maintaining privacy from the neighbours.
