Apart from looking after the essential arrangements in connection with a funeral, there are other services that are required at this time and in the future.

Floral Tributes

It may be that you have your own florist in mind or you need our help. We can take care of all your requirements to ensure your tributes say what you want them to say at a budget to suit you.

Catering

We are able to arrange for refreshments at home with or without plates and cutlery etc. You may wish to use an alternative venue such as a local hotel and all dietary requirements can be catered for. We can make all these arrangements on your behalf.

Music

You may wish to have a traditional organist with music to suit, with or without hymns, or prefer a CD of your favourite tunes. The choice is entirely yours. Some people request the services of a soloist, a New Orleans Jazz band or a Scottish piper. Whatever your preference, we are here to help you achieve your wishes.

Order Of Service Printing

In order to personalise a funeral service, to make to easier for people to follow and give family and friends a keepsake of the occasion, many people choose to print an ‘Order of service’ sometimes with a photograph of their loved one on the front page. We can arrange for this to be prepared on your behalf in consultation with the person entrusted to officiate at the Ceremony and arrange for staff to distribute these at the service.

Private Chapels of rest

Our private chapels are located at Alexa house and are available for visitings and prayer if required. They have been specially consecrated to serve all denominations. Normal visiting hours are 9am -5.30pm Monday-Friday. Evening and weekend visiting is usually by prior appointment.

News Paper obituary and acknowledgment notices

We are always able to advise in the compilation of such notices and place them in local regional or national newspapers. Many newspapers request that these are placed by funeral directors and we normally place them by fax rather than telephone to avoid errors.
