THE GADDESDEN SOCIETY The Gaddesden Society is the ‘umbrella’ for the many clubs in the villages of Ashridge, Hudnall, Little Gaddesden and Ringshall. It helps fund many village activities and developments. We produce The Gaddesden Diary four times a year. This gives club reports, a calendar of future events and a contact if you would like to join. If you would like to subscribe to the four Diaries, please telephone Mary Sheaf on 842958. Copies are also available in the Village Shop. The Gaddesden Society holds social evenings with a talk six times a year: our programme is shown below. Everyone is welcome at these evenings, which are social occasions to meet others in the village over a glass of wine and listen to interesting talks. The cost is only £1. You do not have to ‘join’ The Gaddesden Society, which is open to all. We also arrange the Village Sports, when we hope that you and your children will compete in the races. Details are shown below. The Gaddesden Society runs a voluntary Hospital Driving Service for non-driving villagers needing free transport to hospitals, clinics and surgeries for pre-arranged appointments, or to visit a close relative. Please contact the Hospital Driving Service Organiser, Chris Francis, on 842282. The Gaddesden Society holds a directory of village email addresses through which it communicates Society meeting information, key village events and police Neighbourhood Watch notices. Villagers who want to join this register should send an email to gaddesdensociety@haynesco.fsnet.co.uk. For any further information about The Gaddesden Society, please contact the Secretary, Mandy Haynes, on 842039. 2010 Gaddesden Society Events Wednesday 24th February, Village Hall – 8.15 pm.
