Are
you feeling vulnerable in your own house or flat? Talk to Care
Link. Why not have an alarm button or bell round your neck to
get assistance within seconds? They hold details of you and the next
of kin who they can call if anything goes wrong. Don't worry if you
set the alarm off accidentally, the person on the other end will
just talk to you to make sure everything is OK. Of course when you
do set it off in a real emergency they will contact your key-holder
for you and if necessary will arrange an ambulance. Don't sit at
home worrying about what may happen to you if you fall, give them
a ring on 673 105.
Thyroid
Friends Group
This
is a group where thyroid sufferers will be able to provide moral
support to each other. It is an informal support and discussion group
and is user led. The group members are very friendly and are there
to help you and everybody who helps others with the problem. It is
for anyone interested in Thyroid disease, sufferers, their friends
and family. The group meets on every first Tuesday of every month
from 7 to 9pm at Level 2, Hanover House, 118 Queens Road, Brighton (half
way along the road to the train station, close to Community Base).
