The Brighton based arts organisation
for people with learning disabilities held a Film Festival in
November 2004 and will hold another next year. They are looking
for short films made by people with learning disabilities
that might be eligible
for the
festival.
If you have made a film or would like to make one for the festival
here are some details...
The
First Carousel Film Festival is in partnership with Junk TV.
Prizes
for films will be awarded in three categories. Best 1, 5 and 10 minute
films.
They will accept submissions by MINI DV (pref)
or
VHS.
If
you feel that you would like to have a go and have learning disabilities
then contact Carousel on Brighton 234 734 or
email them on projects@carousel.org.uk or
you can even do it the old fashion way by writing to them at Carousel, Community Base, 113 Queens
Road, Brighton BN1 3XG. Sand
Shoes
You may ask what is this? They are a quick, convenient way
to convert your standard NHS wheelchair to an off-roader. There
may be a few adjustments needed to be made before you begin.
Like how skis travel across snow this patented design enables
a wheelchair to glide across sand with ease and allows a beach
holiday to be enjoyed. You decide your own colour. They cost £49.95.
If you would like to know more then email: sandshoe2003@yahoo.co.uk or
