This website was made to show you what kind of news Phoenix Magazine covers (available free to all residents of Whitehawk, Moulsecoomb, Manor Farm, Bates Estate and Saunders Park) and how you can get involved with the only free community news magazine based in East Brighton.

We want our magazine to be your source of information and we'll even try and make it fun and interesting. We want to help you recognise what's in your community, to get you using the local resources and give you independence.

Phoenix Magazine is run by residents from the estates of East Brighton who foolishly volunteered to learn how to turn on a computer and produce a newsletter for our community. Our slightly addled imaginations ran away with themselves to create a colourful  melodrama in hardcopy, documenting our diverse and too often maligned communities.
