Tea Party Drivers & Free Workshops

WOULD YOU LIKE TO EASE THE LONELINESS OF ELDERLY PEOPLE IN THE CITY?
Contact the Elderly
tries to do just that. We are a nationwide charity, with about 260 groups all over the country, who supply, once a month, a tea-party for elderly people, whom seldom go out or see people on a regular basis.

We desperately need drivers to take people to their tea-party, stay with them and take them home afterwards, normally between 2pm and 6pm, depending on the distance. Can you spare one Sunday afternoon a month (usually the last) to give elderly people some pleasure time. All we ask of drivers is that their car is taxed and they have insurance. This is a voluntary position.
Please contact us on 01273 298 575 or email me at wg.ring@ntlworld.com or write to: 9 Hillbank Close, Portslade, Brighton BN41 2W.

It's About You!
Start the New Year with looking at yourself and what you could do! A FREE workshop especially for the 50 plus on Monday January 17th at the Valley Social Centre, Whitehawk. Find out: How you do things and what you like doing? Why you like doing them? How you can use that information to earn some money? Could you come up with an idea you might like to build into something bigger? Could this lead to working for yourself as a job or sideline? Or just come along to find out a bit more about yourself!

LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED. To find out more information and to reserve a place on this workshop please contact Bee Pooley on 01273 296 757. Assistance with transport can be provided.
