Think you make a Good Leader?

Youth 4 the Future is a new project for people aged 13 - 25 living in the East Brighton area. It's about giving young people a voice and a greater say in what they really want for the area. Also a new youth work training scheme will be in place for young people to get a youth work qualification and maybe even a job.

Plus extra youth work sessions in Moulsecoomb and more youth work support out and about in the whole of East Brighton.

Chairman of the Board: the youth board will be an establishment of young residents, which will have access to, and influence over, the eb4u boards, steering groups and senior management decisions as well as overseeing the delivery and development of the project and the youth strategy.

The YouthBank is a grant making initiative run by and for young people, providing small grants to fund projects that benefit the EB area. The bank is holding £14,000 and will be dished out over the next two years to projects young people have decided on. Get Involved Now!

Saunders Park Youth Forum secured funding from eb4U's Out Of Schools Activity Fund to run a series of activities over the Summer holidays. The activities included healthy cooking for Seniors and Juniors; an afternoon of dance workshops; a talent competition and a showcase and a climbing event in the park on September 18th.

Same Sky worked with young people and children in Saunders Park to make angels and monsters - part of the Reclaim the Park Project and the Saunders Park Youth Forum. Young people helped each other get their safety gear on so they could attempt to climb the wall in Saunders Park.
For more information about the Youth Forum contact Jenny Moore, Pep Community Development worker on 291 672 (Tuesday - Thursdays) or 077 3062 4368 or jenny.m@pep.org.uk.
