Playhouse News

Welcome to our Spring and Summer season of plays, dance and musicals.
Our season opens in March with the 1950’s comedy “Sailor, Beware!” followed in May with Noel Coward’s witty Private Lives. Our 2010 Drama Festival Play Flamingoland will have a 2-night run at the Playhouse on 14 and 15 May. In June we present Tenneesee Williams Pulitzer prize winning play A Streetcar Named Desire, with its themes of sexual passion, madness and the haunting legacy of the past.
Our visiting societies include two groups
showcasing local talent through music,
song and dance. Strangers in Paradise can
be found in Kismet in March, which along
with Sunday night Films and a Big Band in
May, provide a varied and
interesting selection of shows
to tempt you.
Halifax Thespians are continuing thier Saturday matinee and Monday performances and also offer a two for the price of one deal!
So tell your friends, neighbours and work colleagues.
It’s a great opportunity for all the family to come and enjoy live theatre together. Whether afternoon or evening, we look forward to welcoming you to the Halifax Playhouse soon.
