This service provides an opportunity to have a thorough examination of your horse including a blood sample. We aim to offer preventative healthcare by identifying potential problems before they become too serious. This examination is a real advantage for the older horse and hopefully provides reassurance that your horse is still safe to ride. The annual health check includes: Assessment of general body condition Assessment of the heart and lungs at rest Assessment of the eyes Dental examination, including routine rasping if necessary. Blood sample – providing a screen for haematology Droppings sample for a worm egg count Opportunity for you to discuss any concerns regarding your horse A written report will be provided detailing all the findings of the health check You can combine the above health check with the annual vaccination. The vaccine will be provided at a 20% discount. The cost of the annual health check is £100 including VAT plus any visit charge.
