2009 Fighting Robots Uk
Featherweight Championships!

On March 14th & 15th 2009, 35 teams from all over the UK traveled to the LIFE centre in Newcastle for the 2009 Uk Championships! This event was part of the Newcastle Science week and the first ever UK Maker Faire!

After 2 days of full on combat Beauty 2 managed to defend the Uk Championship crown! Last year they almost went out to LF3 however this year i believe luck wasnt on their side. They fought hard, had the nastiest of opponants, had to come through losers melees and still managed to take the trophy home. That really is a special win which im sure will be the one they are most proud of. What an achievement guys!

Well done to Aftershock who came a very close 2nd. After a very long discussion from the judges we hadnt got a clue who the decision would go to. A very consistent team and really deserving of there position! well done guys.
