Ernie Etwaroo

 Born May 18, 1967 in Islington, London.  His parents James and Sheila moved to England from what was then British Guiana in the 1960's.  Ernie spent the first 7 years of his life in Kilburn, north west London, until the family moved to Harrow in 1974.

 As a child, Ernie always had a love of art, and would spend most of his spare time drawing Marvel comic heroes such as Spiderman, Hulk and The Fantastic Four.

 In 1999 he completed a Diploma in Cartooning.  First successes included the sale of a number of single gag cartoons.  The characters Pud and Tick were actually created as part of his diploma course work.

 Ernie has continued with his full-time career working for BT, but writing and animation remains his first love. He continues to contribute single gag cartoons to varying publications and magazines.

 However, after much encouragement and support from his family and friends, Ernie decided to add to his single cartoons and publish the stories he had written for his nephews and nieces, based on the Pud and Tick characters created in 1999.

 All the characters are based on his family, well, excepting Tick, which is a matter of opinion.  Some of the storylines are partly based on real events from his childhood.  The characters reflect some of the outstanding traits of the different members of his family.
