BRC UPDATE – REPORTS
Customers and Suppliers to BRC Retail Standards should be aware that the BRC is currently implementing a new ‘BRC Directory’ wherein all BRC reports from Certification Bodies are uploaded and distributed to relevant parties. Due to technical problems within BRC, some QAICL reports are not able to be uploaded – the BRC are currently investigating how this interface problem may be resolved. In the interests of maintaining supply-chain integrity, customers and suppliers should be aware that QAICL is still arranging its own issue of reports until the BRC problem is resolved. Certificate Validation
Every Certificate of registration issued by QA International can be easily validated for purchasing organisations by return E-Mail. Simply send details of Certificate Number / Company Name and Scope of Supply, and QA International staff will be happy to confirm if the Registration Certificate is valid for the Company concerned. This service is usually available Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 17:00. Return E-Mails for enquiries will usually be issued within 2 working days.

ISO offers free-of-charge ISO 9001: 2000
auditing guidance modules
Guidance modules on specific aspects of auditing ISO 9001 : 2000 quality management systems (QMS) are available free-of-charge from ISO. Short, easy to read and understand, the guidance modules that make up the “auditing kit” adopt a practical, “how to” approach. They have been developed mainly for certification body personnel carrying out audits of quality systems for organisations seeking an ISO 9001 : 2000 certificate as independent confirmation of their implementation of ISO’s well-known standard.

Global Standard - Consumer Products
QA International has applied for UKAS accreditation under EN 45011 for the award of certification under this Scheme. With pilot assessments highlighting a need to change the consumer products standard accreditation targets, which have now been cancelled. A revised target will be set during the course of 2006.
UKAS has changed its Logo
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service has changed its logo.
New logo bromides are now available to all customers from QA International
Head Office.
