Raw Engineering is a British specialist sports car manufacturer. We manufacture and supply the Striker, a high performance sports car suitable for the racetrack and the road.

Our manufacturing and distribution centre is at Hereford in the county of Herefordshire, England. The cars we supply can be bought in self-build kit car form. We also build and deliver cars direct to our customers as complete sports cars. They are delivered ex-works and can be performance re-engineered and tuned to our customers own specification for either the racetrack or the open road.

The engine we supply with all our cars is the high performance Toyota 4AGE 1600c.c. twin cam in 16v and 20v or supercharged variants, re-engineered to produce a power band from 135bhp to over 200bhp at 8000 rpm. We provide our customers with all the ancillary components needed to build a racetrack or road-ready car, with full engineering support, advice and consultancy at every stage of assembly.

In addition to supplying our cars in self-build kit form and cars ready built for the racetrack or the road we also supply and fit the Toyota 4AGE engine for anyone who wants to convert a front-engine, rear-wheel drive car into a high performance racetrack or road car. These include MG and Austin Healy sports cars.

The Striker which we manufacture is a seven type car. It is the most successful car of the popular 750 motor club race series and is now being used in race series throughout the world. It is regarded by many as the benchmark seven in terms of handling and driving dynamics.

We sell The Striker in kit form or as a ready built car. There are two variants: one with a live axle and the other, fully independent. The donor parts needed to supplement the kit are from Ford. A wide variety of engines can be used. The most popular are the Ford Crossflow, Pinto and Zetec, the Rover v.8 the Toyota 4age and a variety of bike engines from Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki.

Although the Striker is from the seven design mould, it is unique in its looks and performance and is a car that never disappoints. We design all of our cars in modular form. This simplifies performance upgrades on the engine, transmission or braking system and enables them to be fitted at any stage of the cars life.

Based in the heart of Herefordshire, we support the social fabric of our rural environment by maintaining close links within the local community on both a business and social level. We use recycled, reconditioned components, which we retrieve from the major motor manufacturers. This allows us to protect valuable resources and prevent unnecessary cost for our customers.
