THE VILLAGE JUNIOR INDEPENDENT PLAYERS.
The Barton Stacey Village Independent Players is a thriving drama group and there are a number of local schools with a strong core of
young people who participate in the Arts. With such young talent in the area, we have created a group specifically for them – THE VILLAGE JUNIOR INDEPENDENT PLAYERS.
The group will put on there own plays taking responsibility for all roles both on and off stage. Its purpose will be;
- To provide an opportunity for all young people under 16 to develop their skills and undertake public performances.
- To provide an opportunity for young people to experience acting, song, dance, stage management, sound/ lighting engineering, performance direction and production.
- To provide accreditation for these activities through the Duke of Edinburgh's Award for those aged 14 – 16.
