Ian is a hugely prolific artist and very direct in his representation of human and animal forms. At ease with numerous mediums including sculpture, printmaking and textiles, Ian has also produced a unique body of work incorporating ceramic tiles and acrylic on board. The addition of these elements to conventional painting serves to heighten the sense of play and enriches the picture surface. Ian likes to work from picture books for reference and his latest series of drawings are based on Van Gogh’s self portraits.

Ian is always keen to exhibit his work and has two pieces in the Musgrave Kinley Outsider Archive, currently housed at The Museum Of Modern Art, Dublin.
