Following Christ's way
- The first disciples of Jesus Christ were called "Followers of The Way".
For 2000 years men and women have continued to be inspired to seek his Way
in every arena of life.
- Christ's Way applies to individuals and to the whole world.
- Christ's Way is built on reconciliation, bringing together any parts of
creation or humanity that are divided and seeking their healing through
God's unconditional love.
- Christians believe that God's Love is stronger than all other powers:
stronger than money, might and even death.
- The Love of God is creative, full of compassion, justice, and forgiveness:
it is self-giving and seeks peace (well being) for all. Every part of life
(home, work, social, etc:) is within God's Love.
- The fulfillment of all this is called 'The Kingdom of God' - when and
where God's rule is obeyed. Following Christ's Way leads to God's Kingdom.
- The Scriptures (Old and New Testaments), together with writings throughout
the centuries and up-to-date Christian experience, are rich resources for
helping us to follow Christ and find God's Kingdom.
- Prayer is an active, direct and lively way of responding to
and seeking out 'The Way'.
- Joining in prayer, worship, study and fellowship with Christians in a
local Church (of a variety of denominations) is a good way of travelling
together on life's journey.
- Christ's Way, living in his Spirit and Light, inspires many to work for
changes, for the better, in personal, family, corporate, local and
global life.
Our Father in heaven
