


Valuing Volunteer Management
in
Hertfordshire Award

The
crystal trophy and a cheque for £300 went to Parentline Plus. The 2009
award was presented by Janie
Wentworth-Stanley, High Sheriff of Hertfordshire at the Annual Open Meeting of Volunteering Herts on June 17 2009.
2nd prize went to the
Hertfordshire Hearing Advisory Service (which received £100) and 3rd
prize to S W Herts Samaritans (£50). These annual awards are
run by the network of Volunteer Centres in Hertfordshire in recognition of
excellence in volunteer management. The prizes are sponsored by Herts Community
Foundation.
The keynote speaker was Jamie Thomas,
Chief Executive Officer of
The Red Foundation.
Award Launch 13 June 2008
Volunteer Centres in Hertfordshire
were delighted to launch this new award which is designed to promote good
practice in Volunteer Management. In a very special event on Friday 13th June, Gaddesden Place Riding
and Driving Group received the Valuing Volunteer Management in Herts Award.
Lizzie Roberts, Chair of the
Gaddesden Place RDA receiving the award from Paul Cherry, High Sheriff of
Hertfordshire.


The keynote speaker at the launch was Susan Ellis (pictured below) expert on
volunteer management and President of Energize Inc in Philadelphia, USA.
