Alexander Technique

Summer Classes 2011

The Oxford summer classes are run by Stephen Cooper, director of the Oxford Alexander Training School. Stephen looks forward to these summer classes, working with other Alexander teachers and students while helping to introduce the Technique to beginners and extending the experience of those who have already had lessons.

All classes are open to: -

      • absolute beginners
      • pupils (anyone who has had or is having Alexander Technique lessons)
      • prospective students
      • teachers & students of the Technique

Costs: £35 per session (£25 for concessions) or pre-book three sessions for £85 (£60 concessions). The classes are free to teachers of the Alexander Technique and £15 per session for trainee Alexander teachers.

The workshops, containing a mix of teachers, students, pupils and beginners, provide all participants with something relevant to their level of understanding of the Technique. During the class Stephen will work individually with each participant while also creating opportunities to involve everyone in group working as appropriate.

The sessions are from 9.15 am – 12.30 pm. The morning always starts and ends with practical work and, after a tea-break and perhaps a discussion, ends with more practical.

Numbers are limited to 6 people per session.

Participants can join as many or as few classes as they like.

Venue:
The Coach House,
Quarry Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 8NX.

Stephen runs an on-going evening class throughout the year on Tuesdays from 6.00 -8.00 in central Oxford, and these evening classes continue throughout the summer. The venue is 28 Beaumont St, Oxford OX1 2NP.

Most of this summer's workshops will be on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. (One or two will be on Mondays).
