Let there be light! Headington Singers concert
Headington
Singers joined up with Didcot Choral Society for a performance of Haydn’s
choral favourite oratorio The Creation in the magnificent
setting of Dorchester Abbey. This was the first time the choirs had performed
together. Over 100 singers took part. We had a large and enthusiastic
audience and the whole evening was a successful and memorable occasion.
The
orchestral accompaniment was provided by the local Isis Chamber Orchestra. The solo soprano roles of Gabriel and Eve were beautifully sung by Pippa Goss,
the tenor role of Uriel was sung by the accomplished Jonathan Bungard and the role of Adam was sung by
the renowned baritone Henry Herford. As a concert singer,
Henry has performed with all the major orchestras in
