Alexander Technique

Summer Classes 2009

These classes are run by Stephen Cooper, director of the Oxford Alexander Training School.

You can come along if you want an introduction to the Technique, or if you have already had lessons and want to develop your skills. The classes are often also attended by trainee Alexander teachers and by qualified teachers of the Technique.

The classes are free to teachers of the Alexander Technique, £15 per session for trainee Alexander teachers (ie students in training) and £30 (£25 for concessions) per session for all other participants.

The mixed sessions (teachers, students, pupils and beginners) provide all participants with something relevant to their level of understanding of the Technique. During the class Stephen will work individually with each participant while also creating opportunities to involve some or all of those present in group working as appropriate.

Morning sessions are from 9.15 – 12.30. The morning starts and ends with practical sessions. There is usually a tea-break and discussion in the middle of the morning.

Evening sessions are from 7.00 - 9.00. The work is all practical, with a short tea- break in the middle.

Numbers are limited to 6 people per session.

Participants can join as many or as few classes as they like.

 Classes will take place at
The Coach House,
Quarry Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 8NX.

Morning sessions mostly on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. (A few will be on Mondays).
