Spectacularly situated on a 10,000 acre estate in Uig on the West coast of Lewis, overlooking Little Loch Roag. At the end of a 2 mile private road Scaliscro Lodge sleeps 23, and provides secluded self-catering accommodation for large family groups with young children wishing to explore the unique wilderness and of Uig.

Guests are free to ramble over the estate which has an organic salmon farm, a mussel farm and an organic hill farm with Highland cattle and Hebridean sheep. Wildlife on the estate includes red deer, golden eagles, otters and a coastal rock heronry.

We can arrange a variety of activities, weather and season depending, for adults and children of all ages:

Salmon & Trout fishing on hill lochs and burns with tackle and tuition provided. Cook your catch over a heather fire on the lochside.

Sailing, Canoeing, Surfing and other watersports in Loch Roag.

Deer Stalking, Grouse and Woodcock shooting over pointers.

Sea fishing and boat trips from Port Scaliscro exploring the islands, caves and lagoons of Loch Roag. Lift a lobster pot and gather your own shellfish for a picnic on a desert island. Visit a seal colony and a mussel farm. Céilidhs with a local traditional music group and try your hand at Scottish country dancing. A 'pipergram' for that special occasion!
