Pictures From The Front
Below are pictures sent to the Shankill Mirror by local Servicemen and Servicewomen while on deployment to Afghanistan.
From our ‘roving’ reporter – Remember the Aussie soldier Martin in the March issue of the Shankill Mirror. Yeah, that was him with the funny PJ’s. Well the news is Martin made it back safe and sound from Afghanistan, as you can see he left the PJ’s behind!! While enjoying his R&R in Las Vegas he still had time to keep up to date with the local news from God’s wee country, especially the Shankill. Note from the Ed. – Glad to see you home safe and sound Martin and to all you doubting Thomas’s out there, didn’t we tell you that the Shankill Mirror is a must international read!!

We always deliver!! The best of it is the guy in the photograph, Martin, is an Aussie soldier having a well deserved break from his duties in Afghanistan and as you can see he is catching up with all our local news which puts a smile on his face and no that is his uniform not his PJ’s!
‘Just another short note from the front. I thought you might like to see a few snaps. We had a few surprise visitors, Ross Kemp and Ant + Dec. This cheered up the girls no end, but I am not so sure about the lads around camp!!’

'Just thought you might like a photo from a female who is serving in Afghanistan at the moment. I've read the last few issues and haven't seen any girlie photos. I'm at Camp Bastion working in the hospital and here is a photo of me reading The Shankill Mirror.'
