History in Sherfield English

Courtesy of Harry Tuffill, Romsey & District Society

This  is part of a stained glass window in St Leonard's Church. It shows  Lady Louisa Caroline Ashburton symbolically giving the church to the village, in memory of her daughter Mary Florence, who died in 1902. The picture is taken from an article on Sherfield English  written for Romsey & District Society by Harry Tuffill. Many thanks to him.. Click on the link on the left to see read this article.
