Our Shetland Combed Tops are made from the very finest Shetland Wool
( obtained mostly from the neck and shoulder) and are ideally suited to hand spinners, felt makers and those wishing to produce their own top quality textile items.
To prepare this product, the wool is first carded and then combed to separate the long fibres from the short. Carding also sets the fibres parallel to each other in preparation for spinning
This process produces a very resilient soft handling wool ideally suited to hand spinning, felt making or production of top quality textiles.
Colours available are White, Mid Grey, Moorit (Mid Brown) and Black (Chocolate).

500 gram pack £7.50 + £2.75 p&p

We can also supply our Shetland Superfine Tops (in White only).

Available in a 500 gram pack for £8.75p + 2.75 p&p

Our Combed Tops do not need a health certificate as they have been 'processed' and are clear of any impediments.
