South View Farm's coarse fishery consists of three spring fed lakes known as Willow Pool, Kingfisher Pond and Heron Pond. The fishery's six acres are set in an idyllic South Devon valley near Exeter. All the waters have regularly produced good catches since they were opened to day ticket anglers in the early 1980s. The fishery is a best kept fishery award winner. We have mirror carp up to 20 lbs, leather carp up to 16 lbs plus, skimmer bream in Heron Pond, perch in Kingfisher to 3.5 lbs, roach to 2.5 lbs plus, tench to 6 lbs plus, ghost carp to 15 lbs plus, rudd to 2.5 lbs plus, common carp to 28 lbs plus. We have therefore in consultation with our regular anglers devised a set of rules for the fishery. The rules are to be adhered to strictly. A few key points to note are that barbless hooks must be used, that children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and that night fishing is not permitted.
