Report for 26/04/05 – 03/05/05

With spring now fully sprung the fish are moving well and particularly responding to surface fished baits. Spells of rain help to keep the fish happy and some clarity in the water.

Willow pool gave Sam king of Shillingford 17 carp to 6lb. 5oz. on legered sweetcorn.

Kingfisher pool gave john cairns of Dawlish 21 carp to 24lb 1oz. on floating baits. Total weight 124lb. Graham Evans of Exeter had 19 carp to 16lb. 8oz.on dog biscuit surface fished. Spencer Toghill of Exeter had 8 carp to 6lb. on floating bread/legered sweetcorn.

Heron lake gave Ben Iremonger of Exeter 6 carp to 7lb. on legered pellet and many silver fish on waggler fished maggot.
