Report for 01/02/05 –08/02/05

 

With very reasonable weather conditions quite a few anglers turning up for the time of year. Sport has been a little slow for many but nonetheless some nice fish continue to appear.

Willow pool saw Andrew Wakeman from Tedburn St. Mary take 6 carp to 18lb on single grain of corn or maggot during a 2 hour feeding spell. Mick Cutler from Solihull took 13 carp to 4 1/2b plus roach, rudd and perch on floatfished maggot or prawn.

Kingfisher pool saw Mick Cutler on another session using the same tactics take 9 carp to 9lb.plus some 25 roach, rudd and perch to 1 1/2lb. Stephen Hird of Newton Abbot had 12 carp for total weight 60lb on legered sweetcorn over corn and pellet.
