Report for 05/07/05 – 12/07/05

A hot week,  and the carp are moving around a lot near the surface as you would expect. They are not very responsive to baits during the hottest parts of the day.  Early mornings and evenings would seem best.  However some nice catches continue.

Willow pool gave Richard Green of Exeter 18 carp to 13lb 2oz.on bread crust.  Robert Parsons of Exeter had 10 carp to 16lb on legered sweetcorn.

Kingfisher pool gave Stephen Hird of Newton Abbot 33 carp to 8lb total weight 157lb on sweetcorn and method feeder.  Gary Holmes of Exeter had 11 carp to 11lb. on bread and corn.

Heron pool gave David Steer of Bovey Tracey 10 carp to 12lb on floating bread, plus 40 roach and skimmers on sweetcorn.  Warwick Mogford of Exeter had 50 roach to 1lb. 8oz.floatfishing.
