Report for 24/05/05 – 31/05/05

It has been a much warmer week and the carp have been spawning on all three ponds for several days now and will probably continue for a week or two on and off. Still plenty of fish interested in the anglers baits once again surface fishing seems the best tactics.

Willow pool gave Michael Hodgson of Torquay carp to 9lb. for total weight 110lb. on prawns.  Nigel Brain of Bristol managed 22 carp and a 2lb tench on bread off the surface.

Kingfisher pool gave Ryan Bolton of Worksop an 18lb mirror carp to floating bread in the margins.  Chris Massey of Newton Abbot had 7 carp to 11lb 8oz. on  surface fished bread during an evening session.

Heron pool gave Tony Mullen of Newton Abbot 11 carp to 10lb on floating bread and sweetcorn on the bottom.  Ken House of Exeter had a 17lb carp to floating crust plus several small bream to maggot.
